Art Show
Exhibitor's Guide
he Art Show is an art exhibition that isn't tied to a specific theme, so a variety of subjects and styles can be displayed, including freehand drawings, digital creations and photography. Visitors are free to explore the exhibition during opening hours, which range from the opening of the gate to the evening Furdance. At the end of the event, some of the exhibited works may be auctioned.

How to apply as an exhibitor
If you would like your artwork to be exhibited at the Art Show, please read the following rules and instructions carefully and then contact the panel organizer or simply fill out this form so we can get in touch with you.
After registration, you will receive access to a personalized Furdance Drive folder. Here you can upload the images you wish to exhibit and provide details of how you would like your artwork to be handled.
If you want to bring your artwork in physical form, please photograph it beforehand, upload the images to your folder and add important details about each piece. This step is necessary to give us an overview of how many and what kind of artworks we are expecting so that we can set up the exhibition accordingly.
Instructions for exhibitors
Exhibition conditions: You may only exhibit works that you have created yourself or for which you have the necessary rights or permissions. Obtaining these rights and permissions is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor.
Quality expectations: We cannot exhibit artwork created on standard photocopy paper unless the nature of the work (e.g. hand-drawn sketches) warrants it.
Adult content: NSFW works may be displayed in the designated area, but please avoid divisive or overly disturbing themes.
Works for auction: If you wish to auction your artwork, please inform us at least 30 days before the event. Furdance Budapest only provides the venue, environment and program and does not participate in the transaction. The proceeds from the auction go entirely to the artist, who must fulfill the legal requirements for the transfer of the artwork.
Submission of works of art: On-site submission of artwork is possible on Thursday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm and on Friday between 9:00 am and 11:30 am. However, admission to the venue begins at 11:00 am. So if you arrive earlier on Friday, you will still have to wait after dropping off your work.
Dismantling and return: Unsold or unauctioned works can be collected after the auction or on dismantling day (Monday). We cannot offer long-term storage, so please make arrangements in advance if you are unable to collect your work in person.
Cost: There is no charge to enter the exhibition, but we are generally unable to cover the cost of creating the artwork. However, we can cover the printing costs for A4 sized images which will be printed and displayed in a paper frame at the event. This option is limited, so please indicate in advance if you would like to use it.
Printing
This option is particularly advantageous for those who are unable to attend the event in person. In this case, artists only need to submit their work digitally and we will take care of the printing and exhibition.
The event offers prints in A4 format in limited numbers, with all costs covered. The printed artworks will be exhibited in black or white A4 paper frames, although the color of the frame cannot be guaranteed. Non-auctioned works will have an inner margin in the print which will be covered by the frame. Auctioned works are printed without a frame.

For borderless printing, a bleed is applied and 3–5 mm is cut off from the edges of the image. Therefore, please place your signature or other identification features at least 10–15 mm from the edge so that they remain visible after printing and are not covered by the frame.
Larger (A3, A2, A0) or custom-made works can also be submitted for printing, but we cannot cover the costs. Bleed is also required for large or custom-sized prints.
Questions and Answers
Do I have to participate in the event to exhibit?
Although we very much welcome the participation of exhibitors at the event, their presence is not obligatory. If you leave the printing to us or commission someone to deliver your work to us before the event, we can still exhibit it.
Will I get the exhibited artworks back?
The exhibitor must decide the fate of each exhibited work. You can therefore get the exhibited artworks back, even if we have organised the printing for you.
Can I only exhibit works that were made for the event?
No, you can also exhibit earlier artworks, especially if they haven't yet been shown at the Art Show. If the artwork was commissioned, we recommend that you consult with the client.
What can I send to the auction?
You can send any picture or object to the auction that has exhibited in the Art Show. In our experience, the auction public favours large-scale paintings depicting generic figures, but this is of course not a requirement.
If you have made a commissioned work, we recommend that you always speak to the commissioner or owner of the figures depicted in the painting.
I can donate the proceeds from the auction to charity?
Yes, you can donate a percentage of the proceeds from the auction to the charity. You can indicate your donation preference when submitting your artwork
What about images created by AI?
In accordance with European guidelines, images generated by artificial intelligence cannot be considered independent works of art. This is because the creative process is influenced by technical rules over which the artist has no control, and the exact mechanisms remain inaccessible, preventing the free and creative expression of their decisions. Furthermore, the ownership of generated works cannot be clearly defined, which excludes them from the exhibition.
