    Frequently Asked Questions

    Registration Rules

In order to participate in the events organised by Furdance Budapest, you need a valid registration. The registration consists of two main parts, which we will explain to you in more detail. In addition to the above information, we will also outline the guidelines and values by which we evaluate and manage registrations.

You can find detailed information about the protection and handling of the data you provide, store and generate when creating a Furdance account on the "Privacy Policy" page, and you can familiarise yourself with the current policy on the "Rules" page.

    Online Registration

During online registration, you apply to be part of the events. After creating a Furdance Budapest account or updating your existing details, you can select your ticket type and any options.

It is important to note, that filling out your details and accepting registration does not mean that you are automatically taking part in the events. For participation, a valid paid ticket is required.

    Criteria for acceptance of registration

We carefully check the applications and account creations submitted during online registration. If they fulfil all relevant criteria and requirements, we are happy to accept the application for the event or account registration. It is important to note that the assessment is a manual process, so it may take some time to receive the result.

During the approval process, we’ll be looking at the following:

    • Proper data entry: We will check that you have filled in all the required fields. For example: You have entered both your first name and your surname. We will also check the email addresses to ensure that no temporary or disposable email addresses are used.
    • Furry Character: Members of the Furry subculture voluntarily organise these events for the rest of the community. Although members of other, possibly related, subcultures may also participate in the event, the same rules must be followed when registering. If answers to questions relating to fursonas contain strange answers, such as 'I'm not a furry", registration will not be accepted. If you can't think of anything, you can write in any animal. A wolf, a fox or a cat, for example, are good choices in such a situation.
    • Rules: Whether the applicant meets the conditions specified in the regulations.
    • Registrant: We evaluate the person registering during the registration process. If, based on their previous behaviour within the community, we come to the conclusion that they are unlikely to adhere to the most important rules and guidelines, we will reject the application.

    Missing or incorrect data

If your registration data is incomplete or if we have the impression that something is wrong, we will suspend your registration. We will then send you an information letter and ask you to contact us to clarify the details.

If we do not receive a response from you within a reasonable period of time, or if we feel that we can no longer expect your enquiry, we will reject the request or delete the account.

    Waiting List

The number of tickets available is limited. There may be various reasons for this, but it primarily depends on the capacity of the venue or the programme in question. If the demand for tickets exceeds the available quantity, your intention to participate will be placed on a waiting list.

If the waiting list exceeds the number of places expected to be available, i.e. if there is no realistic chance of further interested parties attending the event, we will close online registration. It is important to note that inclusion on the waiting list is not a guarantee of participation. The main purpose of the waiting list is to distribute potentially available places fairly to those interested.

    Transfer of Registration

If you are unable to attend the event but have already paid for a ticket, you have the option of transferring it to another participant who has not yet paid. To transfer contact the organisers.

    Registration

As soon as you arrive at the event, you must register on site. Here you will receive your wristband and conbadge, which authorise you to be present at the main event venue. You can then move freely around the event site. It is important to know that staff and organisers may ask you to show your wristband or conbadge at any time and you must comply with this request.

    Data Authentication

If you have never participated in an event organised by Furdance Budapest before, we will ask you to show a photo ID to authenticate your account details when you register. Once we have done this for the first time, you will not need to physically present the ID at subsequent events if you use your electronic ticket in your profile.

Only the person registered during online registration is authorised to participate. We reserve the right to refuse admission if the details on the ID card do not match the details provided during online registration.

    On-the-door ticket purchase

There is no possibility to buy tickets on site, as the available tickets are usually sold out when registering online. If you would like to attend, please register online before the event.

    Damaged wristbandand conbadges

If your wristband or conbadge has been damaged and can no longer fulfil its original function, you can request a replacement at the registration desk by presenting your photo ID.

    Pre-registration

Key organizers, crew members, and contributors involved in the execution of the event are entitled to register before the opening of the online registration, which is accessible to all, in order to ensure that the event runs smoothly.

As a thank you for their tireless efforts over the years, the aforementioned crew members and organisers are entitled to invite +1 guest to the event, provided that the invited person has a valid online registration and pays the admission price offered. The invitation does not release anyone from paying the admission fee.

If the invitation is not taken up within 7 days before the start of the event, the reservation becomes invalid and the vacant places will be offered to applicants on the waiting list. Once this happens, there is no longer any possibility of using the invitation.
