Programs at Furdance Budapest
We have come a long way since our first event, and Furdance Budapest has evolved into a diverse, multi-day convention. Thanks to the members of our community, a wide variety of programs await you, and now you can help shape them!
Don’t worry if you’ve never taken on this task before — we’d love to help you bring your ideas to life. Just get in touch with us! There’s just one thing you need to keep in mind: this event made by furries for furries.

Rooms, spaces and venues
The venue offers various rooms, which we have transformed into themed spaces to ensure that each program takes place in the right environment.
Stage room
This is the central location of the event and houses the main stage. Shows, competitions and presentations that require more space and seating for an audience take place here. The programs are usually in English, bilingual or language-independent.
The stage has a backstage dressing room, available to you as a program host and to participants in stage events.
Small stage
The small stage is located in the garden and is the outdoor counterpart to the main stage. If the weather does not cooperate, the program can be moved to the event tent. This space is ideal for smaller shows, Hungarian-language presentations or Hungarian versions of English-language programs on the main stage.
Gallery
The centrally located gallery hosts art exhibitions, especially the Art Show. This area, which is connected to the lobby and the buffet, is ideal for exhibitions and artistic workshops.
Club room
This room is the only open space on the upper floor for participants. During the day, it serves as a console and retro gaming area where you can enjoy games such as Just Dance or Guitar Hero. The room is supervised by technical staff. So if you are planning to organize a console or other video game competition, technical support is always available. As it's a little away from the other locations, it’s also the perfect place for programs that require a quieter atmosphere.
Program types
The event is not limited to specific topics, but focuses on the community and shared experiences. Whether it’s a panel discussion, workshop, exhibition or other program, it’s up to you to create something unique. To help you plan and organize, we have compiled examples of programs from previous years for each category.
If you have an idea that has already been presented or if you would like to organize a similar program, please feel free to sign up. If someone has already registered for a similar topic this year, we will bring you together so that you can put on something even more exciting together.
Panel discussions and presentations
Interactive discussions in which community members or guest speakers share their thoughts on various topics or tell their personal stories. A popular program, for example, is "Fursuiter 101", where Zuzu and Jazz present the basics of fursuiting and share valuable insights with participants.
Meet & Greet
Casual gatherings designed to connect smaller communities and interest groups. These events provide a friendly atmosphere to chat, share experiences or show your passion for a particular topic. A previous meet-up, "Pooltoy & Inflatable Meet and Greet", created a unique atmosphere as participants spent time in the club room amongst beach and inflatable toys.
Games and competitions
This category hardly needs any explanation. During the event, participants can test their skills in various games and competitions. Popular programs from previous years include the table soccer championship, guitar/clone hero competitions, Just Dance competitions and the Beat Saber tournament. However, the choice of competitions is entirely up to you, the hosts.
Workshops
The aim of workshops is to develop creative skills and learn new techniques. Under the guidance of experts or experienced hosts, attendees can try their hand at various activities. Previous successful workshops include the DJ workshop, which offered an insight into the work of DJs, the NicoBar cocktail making program, where you could learn the basics of mixing drinks, and the dubbing workshop, where participants explored the world of dubbing while creating their own voiceovers.
