Fursuit Dance Contest
The dance competition of Furdance Budapest has been one of the most popular programs of the event for years! If you love dancing and want to show off your skills, this is your chance to shine on stage!
This year there's an exciting new feature: not only will the judges be judging the performances, but the audience will also have a say in the results! The average audience vote will be combined with the judges’ score, so every opinion counts. If you manage to wow the audience, you can earn important bonus points in the competition!

How to Participate?
To take part in the competition, you must have a valid registration and submit your application via the contact page by July 31 at the latest. After registration, the host or a representative of the jury will contact you.
A mini-part fursuit is required to participate, which must include the following:
a head,
paws,
And a tail (if your character has one).
If your fursuit is incomplete (e.g. missing foot paws), we recommend that you wear long pants to maintain a neat overall appearance.
The judges will take the type of fursuit into account when judging. If you are wearing a full body suit that covers your whole body and restricts your freedom of movement, even a simpler choreography can receive a higher score.
Music & choreography
Choose a song that really inspires you and create stunning choreography to it!
The music should be at least 1 minute, but no longer than 3 minutes.
If you need edits or technical adjustments (e.g. change the intro or outro), contact the organizers via Telegram.
The stage is 8x6 meters, but you share the space with the judges and some technical equipment. Therefore, we recommend planning your choreography in an area of 3x3 meters.
Props & Costumes
Do you want to make your performance even more spectacular? You can use props and costumes as long as they:
They do not restrict your freedom of movement,
They do not pose a safety risk,
Comply with the rules and guidelines of the event.
As you are sharing the stage with others, please handle your props responsibly.
Individual or team performance?
You can perform alone, as a duo or in a group. If you perform as a team, the judges will evaluate you as a unit and all points and possible prizes will be awarded together.
