Fursuit Dance Competition
Our dancers are relentlessly training, so that they can pit themselves against each other at the Furdance Budapest dance competition. Every contender will be evaluated by a panel of judges, taking into account each dancers’ style, creativity, and performance.
We would like to make preparations easier; therefore, we have collected the most frequently asked questions and answered them for you.
Questions and Answers
What fursuit do I need?
To take part in the fursuit competition, you will need at least a mini partial suit. A mini partial is defined as a Fursuit Head, Hand Paws and at least a Tail (Assuming the character has one).
As a stage production, we would like to ask you to dress accordingly. For example, if your fursuit doesn't have legs, then wear long pants.
What type of music can I use for the performance?
There is no set genre of music, however we recommend that you pick a song that you can easily choreograph a set to.
How long should the song be?
The selected song has to be at least 1 minute long, however it ideally shouldn’t be longer than 3 minutes.
How long can I sign up for?
As soon as possible, the last day for song submissions is 1st of August, so that we can prepare for your performance.
I cannot find the right version of my song. What can I do?
If you would like to modify your song, for example: editing out the intro or outro, or to shorten the length of the duration, get in touch with us. You can consult and ask for help on Telegram here.
Can I use costumes and props?
Of course! The only thing we ask of you, is to be careful and mindful with the usage of costumes and props and keep the Code of Conduct in mind.
Can we apply in pairs?
Yes, you can take part in pairs or multiple participants. However, in this case, you will count as 1 performer and therefore you will be judged on points as one act and you will have to share the prize if you win.
What day will the dance competition be on?
The dance competition will most likely be on Sunday afternoon. The exact time will be announced closer to the event.
